ABOUT KELLY VASAMI
My name is Kelly Vasami and I'm the owner and primary photographer at Kelly Vasami Photography. I began photographing children and weddings professionally in 2006, when my own firstborn was just a newborn.
After more than a decade of honing my technical skills as a photographer, combined with my years of experience as a mom, I am able to make your children feel completely comfortable in front of my camera. I have worked with many different clients including families with special needs, blended families, families with same-sex parents, single parents, multi-cultural families, and families with children on the autism spectrum. With compassion and patience, I am able to win over even the most shy, or introverted, or high-spirited, or uninterested child with a combination of gentleness, or creativity, or silliness -- whatever is needed in the moment.
As a mom of two kids who are growing up way too quickly each day, I know how priceless it is to capture those moments as they happen and before your kids are on to the next stage of life. My earliest family photographs have become our most treasured family heirlooms, and even in those moments when we are running late to practice, or I'm nagging them to eat their veggies, and there are still three more loads of laundry to fold, it's a wonderful reminder to see our best moments together as a family on display in our home.
Portrait sessions with Kelly Vasami Photography are laid back, light-hearted, and an enjoyable experience. The resulting photographs reflect the authentic personalities of your children which you will enjoy for a lifetime. I work in a primarily photojournalistic style to create genuine photographs that capture the story of your family in that fleeting moment. Each portrait session is unique and personalized for your family - scheduled at a time that is convenient (NOT when your toddler is usually taking their nap!) , and at a location that makes your family comfortable - maybe it's your backyard or favorite playground, or along the water to watch the boats.
